In July of 2023, two local Bitcoiners connected using the Club Orange App (formerly known as Orange Pill App) at Block Height 799789. They got together to talk Bitcoin and by August they held the first official SAVBTC meet up. Two Bitcoiners became four, then six, then more. And just like Bitcoin, we continue to expand and grow our network!

Our mission is to spread awareness and adoption of Bitcoin in the Savannah and Greater Savannah area including, but not limited to Brunswick, Effingham, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Pooler, Beaufort (SC), Bluffton (SC) and Hilton Head (SC).

The main offering of SAVBTC is a monthly meetup, but we do occasionally have special events and family-friendly outings. Whenever possible, we also host VIP guests - considered experts in the space - to present educational content. Long term, we hope to host an annual Bitcoin Conference in Savannah.
